The Arthurian Centre in Slaughterbridge, near Camelford, houses an exhibition of texts, information and illustrations dedicated to telling the stories of King Arthur. Alongside the exhibition lies a 6th century stone inscribed with Latin and words from an ancient Celtic language.
Slaughterbridge is an important archeological site and a number of amazing discoveries have been unearthed here, including the discovery of a secret garden in 2005, the restoration of which is an ongoing project. Legend has it that King Arthur and Mordred had their final battle here and Arthur became a national hero after leading armies against Saxon invaders in the 6th century.
