10am to 4.30-6pm, depending on the time of year. See website for details.
The Screech Owl Sanctuary is easily located near Indian Queens, just off the A30 and then follow the brown signs. It first opened in 1990 with the aim of providing care for sick and injured owls in Cornwall. The Sanctuary offers visitors the ability to learn more about the work carried out on the premises as well as meeting some of the inhabitants.
Visitors can experience close encounters with tame owls, take a stroll around the grounds which includes a lakeside walk and watch an inspiring falconry display. A tea room on site provides hot and cold snacks throughout the day. There is an educational centre with interesting displays and exhibits, and a play area for children.
