A popular, sandy beach, located about a mile outside of the quintessential fishing village of Charlestown, Porthpean is a favourite for visitors and locals alike. Although there is a seasonal dog ban, the south west coastal path, passes along the cliff tops, offering fantastic walking space and views over the beach.
Facilities include a car park, beach shop and toilets. The cove is relatively sheltered and therefore popular with swimmers, however visitors should be aware that there is no lifeguard cover on the beach.
