Merry Maidens Stone Circle lies in St Buryan, close to a number of fascinating Bronze Age relics, including the Men-an-Tol Stone and Ballowall Barrow burial chamber. A number of stone circles stand throughout the county, particularly across Bodmin Moor but few with such regularity as Merry Maidens. It is made of 19, evenly spaces stones and once (it is believed) stood alongside a second stone circle of similar size. It's an excellent place for enjoying a peaceful, unchallenging walk on a clear day.
