The King Harry Ferry provides a vital link between the Roseland Peninsula and Feock, Truro and Falmouth. The short 10 minute journey is a spectacular way to cross the River Fal. The alternative route is a 26 mile drive! The ferry has been in operation since 1888 and the current vessel, built in 2006 can transport up to 34 vehicles. The King Harry is operational all year round and is one of only five chain ferries in England. With approximately 80 crossings a day, each chain is the weight of a humpback whale and is incredibly strong. Many locals use the ferry on their weekday commute, personally we can't think of a more scenic way to get to the office! .
