This is a relatively short section from the south west coastal path and curves around the beautiful historic town of Fowey. The trail leads through woodland paths and lush fields to an exploration along the water’s edge at some of the many secluded creeks and coves dotted along the River Fowey.
This is a fairly challenging route which stretches out for just less than 6 miles and includes some fairly steep climbs and narrow paths. On your way, there is plenty to keep and eye out for including the parish church of Lanteglos-by-Fowey were Daphne Du Maurier was married, which is a short, visible detour from the path and well worth a visit.
