Water Side is a superb, detached property with stunning views across Falmouth Marina, a sun deck with rattan furniture and a large barbecue and dining area over looking the properties own private, tidal, pontoon berth. The interior is bright and spacious with large windows to maximise the sea views. There are few better places to observe the constant movements of yachts and power boats while enjoying some al-fresco dining at the heart of Cornwall's riviera. This property all on one level once inside, however there are 6 stone steps up to the back door from the parking area and 3 steps down to the front door. There is a self contained annexe to the property, with its own access and permanent tenant, under one end of the property.

From Water Side it is a short, level walk past the Greenbank Hotel and Royal Cornwall Yacht Club into the heart of Falmouth and here you can enjoy the wealth of fine restaurants and thriving pubs that this vibrant town has to offer. At the far end of town is Events Square and the National Maritime Museum where the Falmouth Oyster Festival and the shore-side activities for Falmouth Week are based, amongst others, during the year. There are also regular ferries from the Prince of Wales Pier and Custom House Quay that are well worth a day trip with destinations such as the beautiful St Mawes and the Roseland Peninsula or further up the River Fal to Trelissick Gardens, Malpas or Truro.

Accommodation
Ground Level: The back door enters into the kitchen diner with a range of fully fitted units and appliances and a dining table, a further door leads into the hall with doors leading to; Master bedroom with 5' bed and storage and en-suite shower room with WC and hand basin. Bunk bedroom with separate single bed as well and further storage. Double bedroom with sea views, 4'6" bed and storage. Family bathroom, bath with shower over, WC and hand basin. Living room with comfortable seating, large French windows to the sun deck and magnificent views, smart TV.
Exterior: There is parking for 3 cars on the private drive. To the front is a large decked area with rattan furniture. There is a second exterior dining area above the water with large barbecue and wooden furniture.

Facilities & Services
Heating is via a gas central heating system.. The kitchen has a range of cupboards & worktops. There is an electric oven and gas hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, fridge & separate freezer and coffee machine. The sitting room has a Smart digital TV with freeview and catch up TV. There is an iron & ironing board. There is a cot and high chair. There is a washing machine and tumble drier. There is unlimited broadband WiFi. Dogs are not accepted at Waterside.

Miscellaneous
Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. There is parking available for 3 cars to the rear. Regrettably there is no smoking. Unfortunately dogs are not accepted.

Falmouth is one of Cornwall's most popular places to visit because of its unique mix of attractions, water sports, beaches, history and place to eat. The National Maritime Museum Cornwall and Pendennis Castle are both high on visitors' lists of places to visit and the views from Pendennis on a fine day are truly magical. Falmouth is the sailing capital of Cornwall with its spectacular deep water natural harbour offering a haven for both cruisers and racers. Many events are held through the summer culminating in the famous Falmouth Regatta Week and associated shore side events. These events are easily reached on foot as Royal Cornwall Yacht Club is 5 minutes down the road, Falmouth High Street is a 10 minute walk away and Events Square is about 15 minutes by foot.

As a university town many events are arranged by the students including annual exhibitions of art and photographic work. There is a Sainsbury supermarket 2 minutes away by car and a large Asda 5 minutes away.

The beaches at Gyllingvase & Swanpool are coarse sand and are wonderfully sunny south facing spots. You can ride the ferry to beautiful St Mawes for the day or take a delightful trip around the estuary stopping off at either Trelissick Gardens or Smugglers Cottage for a cream tea! There are plenty of places to eat & drink in Falmouth and recently Rick Stein has opened his Fish & Chip Restaurant & Oyster Bar at Discovery Quay adding to the superb mix across the town.

Great Place To Stay

Foremost, Water Side was a very nice and accomodating property, at an excellent location with wonderful views over the Marina and toward Flushing. Facilities and layout were very good and the external seating areas were great especially as we had very favourable weather during our stay. As a family, we have been visiting Cornwall for over 30 years and have rented many properties in that time and we agreed this was one of the best ever. Due to being experienced users of such properties and in the spirit of offering feedback towards future visitors to Water Side having even better experiences, some suggestions below. Main Dwelling: 3rd Bedroom at front of property would be best served with 2 single beds, which would make the property for 6 persons,perhaps offer a put meup/cot for a younger child as an extra. Lock for main Bathroom/WC door. Blind for window on kitchen back door. Facilities: More information about the food waste, refuse, recycling collection day/time. Utensils: Have smaller tumbler glasses in additon to those already in situ. A metal sieve would be useful. Steak Knives. Pasta Bowls.

Extended family stay at Waterside

A lovely property within walking distance of what Falmouth has to offer. Very comfortable for our extended family of young adults, 50's plus and elderly parents. Beautiful views and very well equipped. Nothing really lacking would recommend.

A gem of a holiday home

We booked Waterside for an early Spring break and the minute we walked through the door we knew we'd made the right choice. If we hadn't wanted to explore the area I think we could have easily spent all week in the lovely lounge looking out on all the activities in the Marina and the lovely views. The house is very spacious and extremely well equipped with everything we needed. It was a 20 minute walk into the centre of Falmouth and location-wise well placed for driving around the area. Private gated parking was also appreciated. We'd certainly recommend this property.

Lovely Christmas in Falmouth

We had a lovely stay. We picked Waterside for my 65th birthday, it didn’t disappoint. The prosecco and mince pies when we arrived were greatly received. The views over the water were fab and everything was within walking distance. Happy with our choice

Lovely stay overlooking a Marina

Spacious, modern accommodation suitable for sleeping up to 7 people. Excellent location with 3 outside seating areas and a car port. Free WiFi. Large, well-equipped kitchen.

Fantastic views, spacious and comfortable

The property is all on one level but does have steps to climb to gain access, it’s deceptively spacious, comfortable and very well equipped, the lounge which opens onto a sun deck gives incredible views over Falmouth Marina and the Penryn river, the rooms are generally well maintained and furnished, with the exception of the on suite bathroom which was somewhat shabby, with rust and corrosion around the radiator and shower screen, tiles that had seen better days and a shower head that definitely needed changing, this was a shame as the main bedroom was good, had a large comfortable bed and high quality bed linen. Outside the property there is a excellent parking area at the back, accessed by private automatic gates.

Midships is an immaculately presented, spacious, waterfront property with unbelievable views across Falmouth Marina and the Penryn River. The open plan living area opens seamlessly onto a large decked area directly above the water and the master bedroom has it's own private sundeck. Midships also benefits from a communal slipway and even a drying mooring.

This is a great location with wonderful views across the river to Flushing and a superb master bedroom with Juliet balcony which really makes the best of the magnificent view. It is a short walk into the vibrant, bustling port of Falmouth which has a wealth of great restaurants, traditional pubs and a huge variety of shops.
