A brilliant place for a group of friends or a large family to enjoy all year round.

Property Details

Having undergone a complete refurbishment during the winter of 2018/19, Trevarrick House is a spacious 5 bedroom family home in an elevated position above the Greenbank Hotel in Falmouth with outstanding views across the harbour from Flushing to Pendennis Castle, with the Roseland Peninsula in the distance. Trevarrick really is a delightful house with enough space for families and groups of friends to spread out, yet within a short stroll of the town centre.

With off-street parking for 3 reasonable sized vehicles, the house is on a completely enclosed site, ideal for dog lovers who wish to bring their canine friends and walk the nearby coastal footpaths. The house itself is set out in reverse style with the open plan kitchen and living space on the first floor to take advantage of the outstanding and ever-changing views. There is a spectacular balcony on the first floor with even more incredible views if that is possible! The sitting room has plenty of space to relax with lovely big sofas for weary limbs and tall windows for more of those immense views. The fully fitted, well-equipped kitchen is ideal for preparing leisurely holiday meals, and the open plan design connects this to the dining area and sitting room so everyone can be together without being on top of each other. Perhaps the best bit of the house for adults is the basement snug room, which is just perfect for the younger generation to hide away, play games or watch TV. They can make plenty of noise down there without disturbing any relaxing adults upstairs! A quiet suntrap of a rear patio garden is also a perfect place to relax and enjoy a BBQ.

Property Location

A buzzing town centre filled with shops, restaurants and waterside attractions. Falmouth is a famous British sailing hotspot and hosts a popular Regatta Week every year in August.

Falmouth, the sailing capital of Cornwall, is renowned for being the third deepest natural port in the world. It’s a haven for both cruisers and racers offering the sailor the last major port before the 12-hour crossing to the Isles of Scilly. Visitors to the Port will find the town teeming with coastal treasures, ranging from fish restaurants and boat trips to The National Maritime Museum, next to Port Pendennis. Pendennis Castle, built in the 16th Century, sits high above the harbour with truly magical panoramic views across the bay. You can ride one of the Fal River Link Ferries to the beautiful St Mawes and visit Henry VIII's sister castle or take a delightful trip around the estuary stopping off at either Trelissick Gardens, Malpas or Truro. Falmouth Regatta Week, in August, is the town's major event both on and off the water, fireworks and the recent addition of the Red Arrows provides a spectacular backdrop for some high-class racing. Later in the year, the Oyster Festival shows off the river’s heritage to the full. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in Falmouth and Rick Stein has his restaurant on Discovery Quay, adding to the superb mix across the town.

Great house, location and views over Falmouth and the Carrick Roads

The website and booking process was very good, we've used Cornwall's Cottages a few times and they have always been quick to respond and professional to deal with. Trevarrick is a great house, lovely layout and facilities, beautifully presented when we arrived, excellent location and wonderful views. Falmouth, the Carrick Roads, Roseland and Lizard peninsulas all easily accessible. It's great value, not cheap but as in most things you get what you pay for. We hope to return soon!

Trevarrick House

A stunning property with lots of space, made particularly spectacular by the views it offers. On rainy days it was so relaxing to sit in the upstairs lounge looking out over the estuary. Fully equipped with everything you could need, beautiful bedding, stylish decor throughout, and a wonderful location.
