Very pleased overall but were slightly disappointed to find building work underway on another property in complex. We werenA?t advised of this beforehand which would have been nice. Hopefully will be completed soon. Also it was quite noisy at night due to helicopters and fighter jets as airfield nearby which we hadnA?t realised was there. I was ok but not my fellow light sleepers. Having said all that, I would be more than happy to return.
From the Owner:
The building work, nearing its conclusion, is at the other end of the courtyard. Any noise during the day is kept to between 9.30 and 4.30 to minmise any inconvenience to guests. It will be finished in a few weeks and is mostly internal now. It is really unusal for any rescue helicopters to fly at night unless emergency offshore- 2 a month perhaps. The ocasionally emergency helicopter does come over during the day rescuing people in trouble, and the jets fly over rarely to practise and protect the UK from intruders over southern approaches.

Great cottage, lovely views.
Had a fantastic week in Scovarn House. Six of us plus Henry our boxer. Great hot tub, private with amazing views. We used the cottage as a base to explore south Cornwall. Not a lot in Cury itself, but we knew that before we came. Still constructing a couple of cottages on the site, but it wasn't an issue for us at all. High quality appliances throughout and everything we needed was there for a relaxing holiday. This is the best rental cottage we've stayed in.

Beautifully renovated barn conversion, well looked after grounds, layer to lawn. Upside down house, great views down the valley to the sea in the distance. Two beaches close by Mullion Cove and Poldhu Cove, great for the kids. Very quiet peaceful setting set on the Lizard. Four great sized bedrooms, kitchen with everything you need, top notch white goods and oven. Not forgetting the HOT TUB, put to great use by all the family. House keeper very helpful and friendly, also the owner around most of the time, also very friendly and approachable. Would have no hesitation in recommending Scovarn House to anyone looking for a peaceful , comfortable holiday accomodation
