Fantastic
Reviewed on 21/07/2022Morwenna is a fantastic place to stay. Spacious enough for the three of us and very comfortable. Nice little touches from the owner, bread, milk etc make you feel really welcome. Absolutely spotlessly clean and tidy. The location is great for exploring Cornwall as you are within twenty mins of either coast. We will be visiting again,

Lovely, simple, enjoyable
Reviewed on 16/09/2021This is a simple, comfortable and very clean cottage/lodge which is well situated for accessing the whole of the west of Cornwall and the north and south coasts especially. There are very few facilities in the nearby villages and what there is, is not really in walking distance. It's a very quiet and private location. A very welcome "Welcome Pack" was left for us by Martin, the owner who was there to show us around when we arrived. The cottage / lodge had everything we needed except Wifi which was no bad thing ! The TV signal for the BBC channels was a bit unstable. There was no DVD player despite there being DVDs available to play. These are just minor niggles for the sake of balance. Overall we enjoyed a very pleasant, comfortable and restful stay.
Cornwalls Cottages on behalf of the Owner replied:
We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. Just to clarify that, as advertised on the website, WiFi is indeed available at Morwenna and the password for this is left for guests at the property. Also, there is a DVD player which is located on the side of the TV. It was a shame you didn't mention these issues during your stay as Martin would have been more than happy to point you in the right direction.

Spotless stay in a peaceful setting
Reviewed on 02/09/2021The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation was absolutely spotless, some of the cleanest we have ever stayed in. Peaceful setting with a lovely garden and porch to relax in. Would definitely recommend. However just the double bed was very firm and sleep was an issue.

Morwenna
Reviewed on 21/05/2021We stayed at Morwenna for a week in mid May. The cottage was a lifeline as the weather was dire - constant rain!!. However we were very snug and happy to stay in and read, as the cottage is wonderful with a lovely view of trees and carpets of bluebells. This is our 6th visit -- and we wouldn't stay any where else.

Clean and very comfortable cottage
Reviewed on 05/10/2019Morwenna is a lovely place to stay. It was very clean and comfortable with plenty of hot water and heating available too. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we might need and the cottage was well furnished with enough storage for our luggage etc. Parking was easy and the covered outdoor seating area overlooking the garden was an added bonus. Martin was a great host and met us on arrival, showing us around the cottage and explaining the cooker, heating etc which was very helpful.

great little property
Reviewed on 27/08/2019the property was in a lovely setting, host was very friendly and inviting upon arrival - even leaving us a small welcome treat of some fresh bread, cheese, butter and milk. the property was well equipped, clean and comfortable and in a great location for visiting any part of Cornwall. Within a few minutes drive there were local amenities and the City of Truro itself with regular train and buses to connect you to other areas if you wished. I would definitely recommend the property to others.

Excellent base to access both the north and south coast.
Reviewed on 15/08/2019We have had a lovely stay at Morwenna. The location has been ideal for accessing both the north and south coast of Cornwall. Truro is 10 minutes away by car and has all the amenities we needed. We liked being close to the coast to coast bike ride too. We had a comfortable stay and it has been very suitable for our 9 year old son and us. It was clean and well maintained. We felt very comfortable even when we had a stormy night. The WiFi was very useful too.

Tranquil and immaculate. Wonderful value for money. Highly recommended.
Reviewed on 30/07/2014Fabulous place to stay for 2 adults and a 10 year old. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped with a useful welcome pack, top quality super comfy bed, wonderful, large shower. Loved the raised. covered patio overlooking woods. Parking adjacent to accommodation, garden perfect for a holiday (and bar-b-q s) - very private. Great location, very rural, but only minutes from Truro and main routes, easy to head north or south for the day. I would definitely stay here again. Only downside, sofa bed small and not too comfy (as is the nature of sofa beds) and WIFI would be a useful addition. I would think it would be a little bit of a squeeze for 4 adults.

Absolutely wonderful retreat
Reviewed on 27/04/2014We loved morwenna. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is furnished to a very high standard and is by far the cleanest self catering property I have experienced. Two very minor points would be only 1 toilet roll for stay is not adequate. We were provided with brand new towels which were wonderful however they malted severely, they were green and was embarrassing at the amount that was left on you when leaving the place to go sightseeing. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this place. We would love to visit in the future.

First class and can recommend to anyone.
Reviewed on 23/09/2013To say that cleanlyness, comfort and available help were good is a gross understatement. The help given in the case of my wife's mobility problem was immediate and very kind. The whole place exudes quality of equipment, convenience and comfort. We have rarely come across such a nice place to stay over the many years of renting property both in the UK and in France and Germany..
