    Dog Friendly

    We have some lovely pet & dog friendly accommodation in Cornwall. Many of our holiday cottages and self catering accommodation across Cornwall are pet and dog friendly. Cornwall is a fabulous place to bring your dog, with miles and miles or coastal and inland paths to explore. Do be careful near the cliffs as many edges are unprotected, or with only gorse or bracken separating your pet from the sea. Please check which beaches are dog friendly, many have restrictions during peak periods. Some properties may charge a small additional fee for pets.We have over 270 dog and pet friendly rental properties in all locations. Choose from countryside, town or beach cottages with wonderful views, apartments, barn conversions, beach houses, harbour side and cliff top cottages. Picturesque walks along the cliffs or a short jaunt through cobbled streets, make walking to a beach a memory in itself. Cornwall offers long stretches of sandy beaches as we as cute coves with pebbles to skim. An increase in beach cafes across the region offer a range of home made cakes, Cornish ice creams, and even gourmet meals to refresh you after a long day on the beach.  Throughout the winter months you'll find an array of windsurfing, kite surfing, body-boarding and surfing beaches, predominantly across the north coast, but also if the wind is in the right direction the south can offering great waves.

Lowen is a stunning contemporary 3rd-floor apartment in the superb One Lusty Glaze development, on the edge of Newquay close to both beaches and town centre attractions. With superb views across the cliffs and town beaches towards the harbour and Headland, the accommodation is immaculately presented and spacious with modern styling to complement the furnishing and decor. Lifeguard patrolled beaches abound and the vibrant town centre, with its surfing culture, is a short walk away. Lowen is fully equipped and ready for you and your family to just arrive and enjoy your well-earned holiday.

Property Details

Lowen, which is Cornish for "Happy", is perched in an apartment complex above Lusty Glaze Beach, which is an outstanding, award-winning, privately-owned beach, restaurant and water sports complex. The rest of Newquay's town beaches are a short walk away including Porth, Towan, Great Western and Tolcarne, all of which are beautiful and patrolled by RNLI lifeguards during the main season. You will love being swept along with the surfing lifestyle on this stretch of the north coast of Cornwall. The world-famous Fistral beach is to the other side of the town but can be reached via a short drive. Further west lies Crantock Beach the far side of the Pentire Headland and the Gannel estuary, it can be accessed by foot or by a short ferry ride across the Gannel River. This tidal estuary is just fabulous for kayaking or paddle-boarding at high tide.

Newquay's bustling, vibrant town centre which has a wide variety of bars, beach-front cafes, brasseries and restaurants. Newquay Harbour is also a short walk, historically a significant port but now a working fishing harbour and a hub for water sports including surfing, kayaking and paddle-boarding along with fishing trips and powerboat rides. If water sport isn’t your thing, then sit and relax with a drink and watch the family from the Harbour Fish & Grill or Boathouse bars and restaurants.

This 3rd-floor contemporary apartment in the prestigious One Lusty Glaze complex has been luxuriously finished and the views are superb. A large open-plan living area opens out onto a private balcony that is west facing and so benefits from the sun all through the afternoon and evening. There can be few better spots to enjoy a sundowner while watching the sunset across Newquay Bay, the Headland Hotel and the magical Cornish Coast. The living area is beautifully appointed and suitably decadent with just about everything you could wish for, from a large wrap around sofa to a kitchen with all the bells and whistles. There are TVs in every bedroom as well as the living room and really comfortable beds including a zip and link 5' double / 2'6" twin to cater for different group structures.

Third Floor only: Entrance lobby on the ground floor with stairs or lift to 3rd floor. The front door enters into a corridor with doors leading to; Double bedroom 5' zip and link double bed which can be made up as a twin with 2'6" beds, wall-mounted TV, and storage, with views east towards Watergate Bay, Bedruthan and Mawgan Porth. Twin bedroom with 3' beds, storage, wall-mounted TV, views east. Family bathroom with shower over the bath, WC and hand basin. Master bedroom with 5' bed, double aspect with views to the east, wall-mounted TV and DVD, storage and en-suite shower room with WC and hand basin. Open-plan living, dining and, kitchen with a beautiful finish. There are a dining table and chairs and a large L shaped corner sofa with comfortable chairs in front of a large Smart TV. Bifold doors open onto the substantial balcony.
Exterior: Large balcony with rattan furniture and superb views across Newquay Harbour to the Headland Hotel.

Facilities & Services
Heating is via electric underfloor central heating and air extraction system. The kitchen has a range of modern equipment including an electric oven and hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, a Nespresso coffee machine and Sonos speaker. There is also a utility cupboard in the hall with a combined washer-dryer, iron and ironing board. There is a large digital flatscreen Smart TV in the lounge and each bedroom has a wall-mounted flatscreen TV (with integral DVD in the master bedroom). There is unlimited Wi-Fi available and 4G mobile reception. There is a hairdryer available and, there is lift or stair access from the ground floor.

Miscellaneous
Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are all included, but you will need to provide your own beach towels. No smoking is allowed in the property. There is one allocated private parking space to the rear of the apartment block. If more parking is required, there is a pay and display car park 500m from the property above Lusty Glaze beach. Free unlimited Wi-Fi is available for guests. There is also a lockable storage for surfboards.

Property Location


Newquay's excellent surfing waters are the town's main industry, although the town was originally a major port for the county’s mining efforts, as well as a north coast port for pilchard fisheries. Fistral Beach, where Rick Stein’s seafood restaurant is located, holds many surfing competitions throughout the year, including the surf and music festival Board Masters as well as local surf and lifesaving events. Newquay Zoo now houses 130 different species in sub-tropical gardens close to the centre of town, as are Newquay Golf Course which backs on to Fistral Beach, a cinema, Oasis Fun Pool at Hendra Holiday Park and Blue Reef Aquarium. There is Tesco Local within walking distance, a Sainsbury’s in the town centre and Morrisons is just on the outskirts of town.

Watergate Bay and The Extreme Academy offer expert surfing and kite-surfing tuition and a plethora of other activities to keep even the most active occupied. The Lappa Valley Steam Railway just outside Newquay offers the whole family an interesting day out and, Trerice, run by the National Trust is just 3 miles outside town and is an Elizabethan Manor House and Garden although, with restricted winter opening times.

Newquay Airport has made the north coast one of the easiest places in Cornwall to get to, with regular flights from various locations across the UK.

Lovely modern apartment. Very spacious and comfortable and provided most things we needed. Lovely and warm open plan kitchen/lounge. Great balcony with terrific views across to Newquay and the sea. Lovely to sit with a drink watching life go by. Great that there was a lift. Only parking for one car but didnA?t pose a real problem for us. There is a car park nearby at Lusty Glaze if necessary. Ideally situated for walking into Newquay. Tesco Express in walking distance over the road. Therefore didnA?t have to use car much. Green walking/play area opposite so ideal for walking the dog. Brilliant holiday and would return.

Luxury with lovely views

Had a wonderful week here. It's the first time we have rented an apartment, we usually have a house with outside space, so was a little nervous how a family of six and a dog would cope with space. However, we had no problem, the apartment is lovely and spacious. There is a great space opposite to take the dog to, as well as spectacular cliffside walks. The apartment was spotlessly clean on arrival and well equipped. The walk into Newquay is about a 15 minute amble, but there is a very convenient Tesco express within a two minute walk. It was a super location as well as a central base for days out exploring Cornwall. The only downside was there is only one allocated parking space so any more cars and you have to be innovative.

This is a very comfortable, modern and perfectly located apartment in Newquay above the stunning Lusty Glaze beach cove. The owner and housekeeper were easy to reach and resolve any issues we mentioned.
