Perfect escapism in a beautiful cottage
We had a wonderful week in Barton Cottage. The cottage is in a breathtaking location and has a homely feel with every comfort provided. It is only a stoneA?s throw from the coast path and you can walk down to Crackington Haven in no time at all - a lovely beach with a great cafe. St Gennys church is beautiful with amazing views of the coast. There are so many lovely places to visit nearby: Bude, Boscastle, Tintagel to name but a few. Francis, the owner, is very helpful. We are looking forward to returning soon.

We (4 adults) have spent a wonderfull week in Barton Cottage. The house is spacefull and offers all you need for a stay in rural surroundings. The costal path is nearby, the situation of the house is calm and peacefull. Crackington Haven with the beach and the Inn is not far. There ist new and comfortable furniture in the living room and the whole Cottage has a typical and 'romantic' atmosphere.

Lovely autumn break at Barton Cottage, St Gennys,Cornwall.
We recently had two weeks perfect holiday at Barton Cottage in the most beautiful and peaceful situation just a ten minute drive from the nearest beach Crackington Haven or a 30 minute walk along the coast path down to the beach. The cottage is a very comfy character home with everything you need for a lovely holiday. The surrounding area is stunning fabulous beaches for surfing and swimming and dog walking and beautiful coastal walks. Hopefully we will be back with our dog for another lovely holiday next year.

An idyllic location
We loved staying at Barton with our dog as the location is exceptional for a quiet break. Amazing walking right on the doorstop, a half hour walk to a little town with a gorgous beach (safe for swimming or surfing), pub, cafe, shop. We didnt need to get in the car the whole time we were there.

Our stay at Barton Cottage
We spent a week at the beginning of September at Barton Cottage. Francis the owner was at the cottage when we arrived and was most helpful in showing us around the cottage and giving us local information. The cottage was as described in the website.. An ideal location for exploring North Cornwall.

An all round lovely holiday
Barton Cottage is in a great location, with a sea view from the back bedroom. The cottage was comfortable and quite cool in the hot weather. The kitchen is well equipped. The garden is enclosed which was great for our little dog. The coastal path is almost opposite the cottage. The nearest pub is in Crackington Haven which is a 5 minute drive away, which also has a couple of cafes. The owner Francis is very pleasant & helpful. I would recommend this cottage & would happily book again.

Barton Cottage excellent value
Barton Cottage was situated in lovely quiet location, with coastal walk just a few steps away. Lovely clean well kept cottage and the owner Francis Crocker was helpful and respectful of our privacy. We had our own private gated garden back and front and the cottage was well equipped although could have done with a full length mirror but certainly didn't spoil our stay by not having one. Kitchen equipment even had washing machine/dryer and bedding was of good quality and comfortable. Beautiful sea views from bedroom window. Good base for Crackington Haven with amazing pub and great food, Bude was 8 miles away and Wadebridge about half hour. Widemouth Bay local too. Would recommend coastal walk, breathtaking scenery . Lovely little church St Gennys Lovely old church just a few steps away.

A beautiful quiet location
Barton Cottage was exactly what we were looking for: quiet and comfortable, in a beautiful location very close to the sea. We'd come to canoe, swim and walk and it was perfect for all three. Crackington Haven - a wonderful swimming beach - is an easy walk down the coast path (a bit of a puff back up, but fine) and in the first week of June it was sunny and peaceful there too. We cooked in most nights and though the kitchen is small, it's well equipped. We ate outside whenever we could and watched the swallows dipping into the little barn area beside us: this really is a wonderful place to recharge your batteries.

Barton Cottage
Barton Cottage is a lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Being outside the main village, it is wonderfully quiet and peaceful with views of the sea. It is easily walkable to the beach at Crackington Haven - even with two small children - with the reward of a drink in the pub/ ice cream from the cafe when you get there. The cottage was very cosy and comfortable. We had a wonderful time.

A little sanctuary!
Perfect spot for travelling out a very short distance to some fabulous places on the coast. Walks on the doorstep - quite steep, but worth it for the views. With a log fire we were so cosy we even bought a toasting fork too.(We had a blizzard:Bitterley cold wind and then got sunburnt! ) No mobile in cottage due to walls, but dine outside. Our host can't so enough for you. We had a lovely relaxing holiday.

Cosy cottage close to the sea
We enjoyed our stay at Barton Cottage tremendously. It provided us with an excellent base for local walks along the coast and touring the North Cornwall area in general. The owner of the property, who met us on our arrival, was polite, friendly and ready and willing to answer any questions we had regarding the property and the surrounding area.

An old cottage with bags of charm located in a quiet location
An old cottage with bags of charm located in a quiet location. There was lots of bird life around the cottage, it is only a short walk to the cliff top costal path and a couple of pubs (with good food) are just a short drive away..
