Penzance is just a 15 minute drive away. Every June, Penzance holds the Golowan (Feast of St John) & Mazey Day celebrations. This week long celebration attracts many visitors and traffic is banished from the centre of Penzance during Mazey Day when the streets become lined with stalls and hold colourful processions. From Penzance harbour you can catch a ferry to the Isles of Scilly or travel to the islands via helicopter from Lands End. The sub tropical gardens of Morrab are definitely worth visiting.

Extremely comfortable accommodation situated in peaceful countryside yet within a short drive of Penzance for supermarkets, local shops, restaurants, pubs and other services. The attention to detail, provided by the owner, throughout is exceptional and they really have thought about the needs of their guests and have equipped the accommodation to a very high standard that absolutely added to the enjoyment of our stay. Anjarden Byre is lovely and spacious yet is decorated and furnished so that it feels cosy and welcoming and it is spotlessly clean and there was always plenty of hot water. We were warmly greeted by the owner on arrival and given an extensive introduction and there was a most welcome cream tea left in the kitchen. The correspondence we received before our arrival was first class and the owner responded promptly to a few questions I had. All in all a great place to stay to discover the many delights of West Cornwall and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Great accommodation, very good service and an excellent part of Cornwall to visit... A must for a relaxing holiday!

This L-shaped bungalow is a well fitted out barn conversion. It is very comfortable and the furnishings are lovely. The location is great, just off the A30, but only 5 miles from Sennen and Penzance. We had good weather despite it being November and we always found somewhere to have a coffee and a snack when out and about. There is a wood - burning stove at the Byre but sadly we didn't need to try it as the weather was too warm. The kitchen is fully equipped and the beds are comfortable. The wifi, however, is not the best. We loved our stay and didn't want to leave.

Loved every minute of our stay as always. Fabulous cottage close enough to all places of interest yet far enough to be lovely and peaceful. Cottage is comfy and homely and has everything you could need for a holiday in beautiful Cornwall. The cream tea provided by Julie when you arrived is also a yummy bonus! Would recommend to everyone to take a break there.

A perfect week away in this well equipped cottage, in a perfect location. It is located close to the A30 but perfectly secluded. Julie kindly provided us with some essentials such as tea bags, coffee and milk on our arrival, and a cream tea. There are a number of supermarkets only 10 minutes away so there is no need to pack the car with groceries. Everything you need is here. The heated airer was a perfect addition as the children got wet and muddy on the beach, so after washing their clothes I was able to dry them over night. If you have never visited the area I highly recommend you visit Sennen Cove. It's a lovely (dog friendly in winter months) beach with plenty of rock pools for the kids and amazing pasties. Lands End is a great day out for the whole family, and Mousehole is a lovely harbour and you must visit the vintage tea rooms on the cliff! There is so much to recommend about the area and the property, and we cannot wait to return!

Anjarden Byre totally lived up to it's description. Anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable cottage full of character should look no further. It's setting is so tranquil and a wonderful warm welcome from the owner (and animals) plus a cream tea was very much appreciated. Will definitely be returning in the future.

We were greeted with a very warm welcome from the owner who showed us around, and also introduced us to Star (her dog), and Calypso and Mr Chips (the horses). The property was just as described and very comfortable with everything needed for a relaxing stay.
Guest from Monmouth stayed for 7 nights.
Spacious for two, cosy for four. Good location and well equipped. Absence of a tumble dryer an issue in bad weather. Current drying facility inadequate. Did not dry a load of washing overnight. WIFI connection so weak and intermittent as to be essentially useless. The small enclosed garden is not accessible directly from the cottage. The many printed instructions on cards distributed widely are neither necessary nor welcoming.
I'm sorry you had problems during your stay and if you had mentioned them to me I would have had a chance to rectify them: It is rather unfair otherwise. - Our 'Recycle & Energy efficiency' policy, clearly displayed inside the cottage and on our website, does explain that we have not installed tumble dryers as they are too environmentally costly: The electric clothes airer will dry a full wash load overnight if clothes are folded not hung. - Superfast WIFI was installed in February and 19MB can be obtained in the cottage. A re-boot, was possibly all that was needed. Also, there are 'hot spots' which I could have pointed out to you as the old 3' granite walls have an effect on the signal. - There are 6 notices in the cottage, 3 of which are 'how to' explanations eg. How to light the fire. The others are there for people who need a little guidance on how to leave the cottage after their stay. Not everyone is as considerate as you, only last changeover I cleaned a kitchen for 1 1/2 hours which should have taken 1/2 hour, so I'm certain that over 21 years of doing this job I've saved myself a lot of time on limited turnaround times. I'm glad you were comfortable, liked our location and were impressed with the cleanliness of the cottage.

We had a great stay with a very warm welcome by the owner and a cream tea to tuck into after our journey. The property was very clean, well equipped and the bed was very comfy. In a very rural location which suited us and would definitely use again.

The cute looking barn is a real find. Looks small from the outside but inside it is spacious and well set out. Comfortable for four adults. Every little item you would need in the kitchen and flowers and cream tea await you. Beds comfortable too. Julie, the owner, lives on site. She is around but never intrusive. Great. Parking for two cars. Peaceful location and ten minutes to Penzance or lands end. Internet access but no mobile phone signal if that is important. Overall a great choice and i would return again.
Guest from Western Australia stayed for 5 nights.
We received a warm welcome to a lovely old granite cottage. It was well furnished, comfortable and warm with night storage heaters. What drew us to this cottage (apart from its quaintness) was its open fire and (as we were staying with friends) the 2 bathrooms. We looked at many lovely cottages on the net but most of them these days don't have real fires. This is a MUST for us in winter as it makes it cosy and inviting. For those interested in TV, the reception was good in the lounge but there was no reception on the tiny TV in the bedroom. Internet was available but only seemed to work in the lounge/ dining area. The only thing we didn't like about this cottage were the plastic flowers everywhere. It was in a lovely rural setting with a view across the fields to Lamorna Cove. Very convenient for Mousehole, Penzance, Lands End and Lamorna.

Anjarden Byre was everything we had hoped for, set a lovely location yet within an easy 15 min drive of local amenities. The owner was unobtrusive yet always available when we needed some local knowledge. The accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable - ideally laid out for two friends (with dogs) sharing.
