Towan Beach
Superb in a northerly breeze when it is totally protected. Avoid in an easterly when it is very exposed. Towan beach is a leasurely 2-3 minutes walk across a field from the (paying) car park at Porth Farm, on the road to St Anthony. A pretty, sandy beach which can unfortunately be somewhat spoilt by persistent easterly winds, exposing rock and throwing up seaweed. It can get very busy during the season, but brilliant during the week outside the main school holidays. Dogs are allowed here in the summer, but please do clear up!
