A new barn conversion in 2008, Polhendra Barn is a lovely tranquil spot to spend your holiday. Originally part of this smallholding, Polhendra Barn has been sympathetically converted by the Owners to provide an outstanding 2 bedroom holiday home. Located in a really central location on the Roseland Peninsula, Polhendra is within easy reach of Portscatho, Gerrans and St Mawes and is only minutes from Porthcurnick, Pendower, Towan, or Porthbeor beaches. Surrounded by rolling countryside, there are numerous footpaths to take the keen walker along the river to St Anthony or north along the coast to Nare Head.

The barn itself has a well equipped kitchen and lounge area with French windows onto a large patio area formed out of the old barn yard. The living space is deceptively large and the patio area has external lighting, a patio table and barbeque facilities. It is a lovely place to spend a warm summers evening talking over the day’s activities!

The Owners, Richard & Lucy Beaman live at Polhendra which is located immediately behind the barn, although the barn itself is totally separate and private. Richard & Lucy run Cornwalls Cottages and also a lovely pub near St Austell called The Crown Inn. If you are a bit of a foodie, Richard will help you source some of the most delicious local produce to eat or take home with you!

Acccommodation
Upper Ground Floor: The stable style entrance door leads into the hallway with steps up to the lounge / kitchen area. There is a fully fitted kitchen with oven, hob, dishwasher, washer / drier and fridge / freezer. The lounge area has digital TV and a DVD player with 2 comfortable sofas. There is a large French window opening onto the patio.
Lower Ground Floor: A bedroom leads off the hall with single and 2 bunk beds. A further bedroom leads off the hallway at one end of the building. The bathroom has a powerful shower and bath.

Facilities & Services
Inclusive electricity and heating. All linen, duvets & towels are provided. WiFi is available throughout the Barn.

Miscellaneous
Private parking area for 2 cars. There is garden furniture and barbecue facilities. There is a local shop in Portscatho (1 mile) or in St Mawes (4.8 miles). Pubs in St Mawes, Portscatho, Philleigh (4.9 miles) or Ruan Lanihorne (6 miles). We regret that there is no smoking allowed but well behaved dogs are permitted (£25 surcharge per dog).
