The exquisite Fowey estuary is surrounded by grounds which have been rightly designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The winding woodland paths which loop around the popular, working port provide an excellent excursion for all keen walkers, with varied terrain and a few challenging hills. The sensational views are some of the finest that South Cornwall has to offer and well worth the effort of the walk! Aside from rolling countryside and unspoilt panoramas, the paths will occasionally lead to unexpected, secluded beaches - perfect for a refreshing paddle. All paths lead to and from the historic town, made famous by Daphne Du Maurier's iconic literature and inhabited by a number of well known residents who can sometimes be spotted taking in the delights of this quintessentially Cornish port.
