The Roseland Inn - 01872 580254
The Roseland Inn is one of Cornwall's unique country pubs. Located in the tiny, rural village of Philleigh, this pub oozes country charm. Full of character, it is a superb pub to visit. You will find some good, well cooked local produce although it is not the cheapest place and it is a little more restaurant food than pub food. It would be great if they did some good old fashioned pub favourites, but what they do is lovely and you will get a nice meal. Do expect to wait a little in the height of summer as they can only cook so quickly! Do book before you go.

01872 580309
Not far from the King Harry Car Ferry, The Smugglers' Cottage, dating from the 15th century, is situated at Tolverne, on the Roseland (Eastern) side of the river Fal. During World War II the Cottage was requisitioned and the road and beach built as an embarkation point for the D-Day landings. The Cottage now serves morning coffees, lunchtime pasties and delicious cream teas. Usual opening times are all week: 10:30am - 5:30pm and opening until 8:30pm in the high season. The Smugglers Cottage closes for the winter months usually from around late September or early October until April.
