This location offers complete peace & tranquillity with only the odd farm tractor passing by on the lane, yet is so accessible from many parts of Cornwall.

There are some great beaches nearby at Gorran Haven, at Vault Beach, Hemmick Beach or Porthluney Beach near Caerhays Castle. The castle & gardens at Caerhays are open every spring and well worth a visit. There are some excellent pubs nearby, the closest being the Crown Inn at St Ewe, but also plenty to choose from nearby. The harbour town of Mevagissey is worth a visit, but it does get busy in the peak season. The nearest supermarkets are in St Austell and delivery is available.
The Eden Project is within a 20 minute drive of the property.

The property is in a very quiet location. The house overall was clean but the kitchen was a bit grubby on closer inspection. There were quite a number of minor maintenance issues which were annoying but didn't spoil the holiday. We reported one urgent fault and it was fixed very quickly. Gorran Haven nearby has a sandy beach and is a quaint Cornish village, quite unspoilt. Great for small children but no waves if you're looking for a bit more excitement. Overall a pleasant week.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Terra Nova. The location is very tranquil and secure which allowed us the pleasure of relaxing in the garden whilst our grandchildren played. Terra Nova is close to numerous safe beaches ,which was ideal for all. The owners were very friendly and the free car parking at Gorran Haven a bonus.
Guest from London stayed for 6 nights.
The quiet location was excellent and the location good. Within walking distance of Mevagissey and Heligan. Many other attractions within easy reach by car. The cottage was well appointed and ample space for 8.

This is the second time we have stayed at Terra Nova and it definitely won't be the last. We love this cottage and find it perfect for us, our extended family and the dogs we bought with us! We are particularly impressed with how very clean it is and it is equipped with everything we could possibly want. There were a few tiny blips like a light bulb blowing and therefore tripping the fuse box but the house information book/manual provided gave us instructions on how to deal with this - so problem solved quickly! We just love Terra Nova and find it perfectly placed for many different holiday activities. We love it so much that I am reluctant to recommend it too highly in case it gets so booked up that we can't book it again!!!! Many thanks and see you again!

If you are looking for a spot away from the rat-race where no one knows your name but the neighbours are friendly enough to ask; if you are looking for a warm, comfortable house with plenty of room for adults and kids; if you fancy the fresh air rolling off the sea and up the hills to Terra Nova; if you wish for the early morning birdsong and clear vibrant starry nights; if you long for an open fire while you drink your wine and read your book; if you enjoy the winding country roads of Cornwall where local fowl idle merrily in the middle of the road, unmoving; if clean crisp linen, fluffy pillows and beds that are enormous are your take; if you merely want to relax, unwind and enjoy; then Terra Nova is your place, my friend. An awesome home that easily accommodated three adults and three young children. You will not be disappointed.

We have really enjoyed our stay at Terra Nova. Everything was as described, the house was clean, warm and comfortable, with a lovely garden. It is a great place for a relaxing holiday away from people. I can only recommend this place.

A nice rural cottage and we enjoyed our weeks stay overall. Well equipped with seating and bedrooms, kitchen utensils etc., and very clean. Flowers and wine on arrival. I thought maybe a cream tea would be nicer, given that it's a Cornish property. Parking was fine for us but others may struggle with the tight turn in a larger car, and more than two cars would be a problem. Sofas comfy. Bed a bit hard for me. Boiler packed up but owner sent round someone to fix on same day so no problem. Only one bin bag provided which was also too small for kitchen bin so was full within days. Only one jay cloth provided also. Most cottages provide more than this as a little pack. Microwave plate didn't rotate properly. DVD player kept pausing and stuttering on a variety of discs which was very frustrating. SKY tv was very welcome. Garden not completely enclosed but not a problem for our dog. Nice quiet location within walking distance of Mevagissey, and a short drive to Gorran Haven. Despite these little niggles we did have a good week and would recommend the cottage to others

Really lovely cottage - wish was closer to a pub or shop but ok. Everything was great but one comment - purely to make it even better - would be to leave a few more staples in cupboards. Every other house we've been to in the last 10 years has tea, coffee, flour sugar etc all ready to use. The wine and milk were a great touch but I actually missed the other bits more!

Terra Nova is perfect as a peaceful retreat or a centre for exploring the beautiful Coves, Harbours & Pubs of Cornwall. It has a good sized garden on 2 levels, ideal for the dog. The owners are very friendly & helpful and will do everything they can to ensure you have an enjoyable holiday.
Guest from Milton Keynes stayed for 3 nights.
Good --clean --peaceful --spacious --large garden --comfortable beds --prompt service Bad --The boiler was not working so had trouble with radiators. Ended up having cold nights. We called up the owner and he arranged for some woods for the fireplace as well as electrical heater as a workaround for all the four rooms.

we had a lovely week at Terra Nova, the cottage was comfortable and cosy with all we needed to enjoy our stay and visit all the local villages and attractions
Guest from Thatcham stayed for 7 nights.
Great location, really quiet and peaceful, except for one morning when TWO cars went past in just over 2 hours! Yes peaceful! Well equipped everywhere, plenty of cookware crockery and cutlery. Loads of room, to relax in especially as we had three couples, plus our lovely granddaughter and a little dog, the latter on his very first holiday. We celebrated, My daughter's engagement, my Son and daughter in laws 4th wedding anniversary, and it couldn't have been in a more delightful place. What was really nice was the sleeping accommodation; to actually find somewhere with comfortable beds is rare, so with a good nights sleep for all, every day was even better. The location is very accessible for both coasts plus the bonus of free parking in the delightful Gorran Haven, which we all fell in love with, was the icing on the cake. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!
Guest from Hitchin stayed for 7 nights.
The cottage was very nice and attractively presented. Access into the parking area was a little fraught due to visibility around an out-building. The flowers, wine and milk were a lovely touch. Would thoroughly recommend anyone staying here, especially a large family gathering. My granddaughters loved having a bedroom with its own access and stairs! The wet room could do with better drainage and more hooks to hang clothing but the cottage was really nice.
Guest from Sidmouth stayed for 7 nights.
A lovely well appointed cottage but there are a few things that could improve it even more. Coat hooks in the porch Chairs in the bedroom Somewhere to hang towels in bedrooms Pads on feet of chairs as very noisy on tiled floor
Guest from Sale stayed for 7 nights.
House on the whole was great, a good size for 8 adults but kitchen too narrow for the size of property. Could have done with some working outside lights. Owners were very quick to respond to a couple of faults. Generally good value for money.
Unfortunately someone switched off the outside lights.
Guest from Gladbeck stayed for 7 nights.
Cottage was quite nice and well-equipped with a lot of space for the five of us and our dog. A big problem was the bathroom on the first floor. When using the flush, a terrible sound appeared for nearly 30 seconds. It was that loud that we could not sleep very well during the nights as one or two ever needed to use this toilet during the night. The sound was horrible!!! Lovely garden but cottage was quite difficult to find. Needed to ask people around to finally find it.
A new flush has been fitted, so it is now much quieter.

My wife, three children, mother-in-law, two dogs and I have just had a wonderful week at Terra Nova. The cottage was beautifully presented, comfortable and warm. It was well equipped and everything we needed was provided. The garden is enclosed and south facing. It is in a very peaceful location. Terra Nova is in a great location for visiting such places as Truro, St Austell and the Eden Project. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are only a couple of miles away and are well worth a visit. It is also possible to walk into Mevagissey although it's a step climb back!! Mevagissey itself is a lovely place with a working harbour, plenty of beautiful shops and places to get a Cornish pasty! We loved our holiday here and will definitely be back. Many thanks.
Guest from Billericay stayed for 4 nights.
Second time at Terra Nova we like it very much only down side - the sofas not at all comfy and beds could do with having a topper on the mattress just to soften a little, lovely atmosphere, lovely garden our dogs thoroughly enjoy there stay here, will come again.
Guest from Bromley stayed for 3 nights.
The cottage was perfect for our family get together. Spacious and clean, it had everything we needed for our stay, and accommodated our two dogs. The added touches, such as a couple of pints of milk in the fridge, and a bottle of wine left on the table, were appreciated. The bedrooms were a good size and the beds very comfortable. A little difficult to find down a very narrow country lane, so something added to the directions would be good. But it would be great in the summer months, and I would highly recommend the cottage for it's location and facilities.

Great location - we were in Cornwall for a wedding in Gorran Haven. Lovely house - suited our family group very well. Could have done with more equipment in the kitchen.

Good location, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, being a luditte, would have liked written instructions to be able to use SKY, otherwise no complaints
Guest from Craigavon stayed for 7 nights.
Spent a week at Terra Nova with family visiting from overseas and had a wonderful time. Even when we had a slight problem with a door that wouldn't open it was fixed very promptly by the owners. Couldn't recommend this highly enough, cottage has lots of room is in a nice secluded location making it very quiet but still close enough to all the sites.
Guest from Wantage stayed for 7 nights.
We had a fabulous time staying at Terra Nova. The cottage was ideally located for all the things we wanted to do and was spacious inside. We found it to be clean and nicely looked after. Our criticism would be the state of the knives...they were very blunt! The was also a lot on instructions about waste which we wanted to follow, I would have thought that providing some black bin bags should have been the responsibility of the owner. All in all, a fantastic week away in a beautiful part of Cornwall, thank you!
