We have a superb collection of self catering holiday cottages and accommodation in & around St Just, Cornwall.
Nestled in the midst of charm and historic relics, St. Just offers plenty for the tourist on holiday. Whether your passion is art, history or simply lolling away holiday days on the beach, St. Just can deliver a real experience of what many see as the last part of true Cornwall.
The history of St. Just is predominated by tin mining, with a number of mines still available for viewing today. History abounds in St. Just with Botallack, Geevor and Levant mines nearby. Geevor was a working tin mine until the latter part of the last century, and today houses a museum filled with artifacts and machinery from this era. The Crowns engine houses at Botallack are perched precariously on the cliffs, making for excellent picture taking opportunities and a breathtaking view. The Levant mine boasts the oldest working beam steam engine in the area, making it another must-see sight for visitors on holiday in Cornwall.
There are also a great choice of beaches around St. Just, with a lovely selection of locations to choose for surfing and swimming. The closest beach to St. Just is Porth Nanven, which is not as well known but still offers some delightful swimming opportunities. Sennen Cove, Gwynver Beach and Porthcurno are all nearby and excellent choices for your day on the shore. Sennen Cove and Porthcurno are both known for their white sands and Gwynver makes an excellent surfing spot.
