The village of St Just in Roseland is located about 2 miles north of St Mawes. A small village, it has a pretty creek and the quite delightful church and wonderful churchyard. No visit to the Roseland is complete without seeing this peaceful place. Probably the only sub tropical churchyard in the British Isles, it is a beautiful & tranquil place with some unique flora. The creek is home to a boatyard and not much else! Although the beaches are of shingle, you can reach some great sunbathing spots from here with some wonderful views over the water towards Mylor.
Nearby, you can explore the D-Day embarkation points at Turnaware Bar and nearby recently renovated Smugglers Cottage, part of the Tregothnan Estate. It is also is one of the best spots in the area for a cream tea!! The walks around Messack Point on the north side of St Just in Roseland Creek offer some of the finest views across the Carrick Roads.
