Riverside Cottage is located in the peaceful creekside hamlet of Coombe, a few miles to the south of the Cathedral city of Truro. It is an idyllic spot, with beautiful views over this magical part of the upper reaches of the Fal estuary. There is a network of footpaths around the area for you to explore this quite magical part of Cornwall. The location is very central within Cornwall and it is so easy to reach the north or south coasts from this lovely spot. The nearby King Harry Ferry will also take you across the main part of the River Fal to the beautiful Roseland Peninsula.
The cottage which is part of the famous Tregothnan Estate has been refurbished during 2010 to very high standards and has great creek views from each room. The creek is quite tidal at this point, yet it is fascinating to watch the birdlife at all times. The Estate have spared no expense to ensure that the cottage meets the needs of the most discerning of guests. The modern kitchen is fully equipped and benefits from a separate utility area. The bedroom is very comfortable and the bathroom boasts a romantic roll-top bath. The separate lounge has a cosy wood burning stove which makes it a wonderful place to visit all year round.

Heating is via electric centrally controlled heating and the cosy wood burning stove. The kitchen has a range of equipment including an electric oven & hob, fridge / freezer, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher & expresso machine. The lounge has a TV & DVD player. There is WiFi available. There is a music system with iPod docking station. There is an iron & ironing board.
Miscellaneous
Electricity, heating, wood for the log burner, bed linen & towels are all included. There is enough parking space for 2 vehicles at the front of the cottage. A basket of logs are provided for the wood burner, thereafter available from the owner. Up to 2 dogs are allowed at a small additional cost of £25 per dog / per week. Regrettably no smoking is allowed.
Extras
A welcome pack is provided in the cottage for your arrival, but also available as an extra is a very special hamper selection of Tregothnan produce including Kea plum jam, honey, Tregothnan tea & chocolates (£30). Also available is a stunning private tour of the Tregothnan Gardens (£70 per person). This tour is very special as the gardens are rarely open to the general public. You can be picked up & returned by river launch (tide dependent) from outside your cottage, the tour lasts around 2 hours and concludes with a Tregothnan cream tea. It is a very special treat!
