Mevagissey is a wonderful little Cornish fishing village in South East Cornwall ideally located within easy reach of both The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project. The tiny seaside village is packed with old Cornish cottages complete with narrow alleyways leading to converted fish cellars offering gift shops, galleries, pubs and cafes. Once a major Pilchard port, now the harbour boasts a smaller fleet, many of which provide sea tours or boat trips to Fowey, situated further up the South coast. The Harbour provides an ideal back drop for a fish and chip supper, followed by a stroll through the town at dusk.
With an 8 minute drive to The Lost Gardens of Heligan and 30 minutes to the Eden Project, Mevagissey provides a excellent location for the keen gardener. Gorran Haven nearby offers an alternative day out as well as Pentewan with its fresh water dock basin. You can continue south along the coast down to Caerhays Castle and Porthluney Cove. Cliff walks in all directions along the coast offer spectacular views out across St Austell Bay.

A lovely little flat with a fantastic location. We would recommend and would stay again. It had everything we needed for a week long stay.
Guest from Maidstone stayed for 4 nights.
Apartment is located on the outskirts of the village, on a steep hill, so maybe not suitable for the less able, but nice views.and quiet.Sally the owner was friendly and helpful, fresh flowers and a cream tea on arrival, were a lovely touch. Kitchen well equipped for self catering, but pubs and restaurants close by, serving good food.Apartment was clean and comfortable. Would I stay there again, yes !!
Guest from Flint stayed for 7 nights.
It was ok but a bit decieving as smaller than we thought it was going to be.Not very well equipped as no small coffee table to put drinks on while watching tv,Could do with a table and a lamp in living room as main light very bright,Bedroom needs side tables and bedside lamps as at moment there is nowhere to put the likes of yor glasses and as some people like to read in bed a side lamp would be an idea.outside lights not working as very dark when walking round to entrance of property .Also no blind on bathroom window as there is a possibility of people seeing in from neighbouring houses.settee could do with replacing as very low when sitting back as not much support .Hedge needed trimming back as brambles were sticking out on walkway to property entrance.Tv not very watchable as channels not very clear and kept breaking up.
Guest from Huish Episcopi stayed for 7 nights.
Lovely apartment with everything we needed for a relaxing week away. Sally the owner is such a lovely person too. ? Great to have our own little place so close to Mevagissey and our own parking place was a real boon.. "Loved it"

Pippins is well located for Mevagissey only taking a few minutes to walk to the centre. However, it will take a little longer to return as the house is situated on quite a steep hill. The appartment is clean, comfortable and very peaceful with all the facilities and utilities you would expect for self catering. The narrow streets of Mevagissey can be quite daunting to drive through. However, if you don't mind driving a few extra miles Pippins can be approached from the road by-passing the village, turning left just after the Kestle turn off.
Guest from Sandown stayed for 7 nights.
We enjoyed our stay at pipplns it was lovely clean and comfortable and close to the town the hill was quite steep But we managed it if we go down to that area again we would go two pipplns
Guest from North Walsham stayed for 7 nights.
it seems these days that owners want to give as little as possible for as much as possible which does not make for a good experience. flowers and biscuits were a nice touch. lack of towels for a weeks stay when you are told they are provided. An extra toilet roll would have been useful to.
Thank you Mr and Mrs Vincent for your comments. I always provide 3 towels, I can give you more if you request them. If you needed more toilet rolls again, just ask. I am glad you liked the flowers, tea, milk and biscuits. I can supply a cream tea if asked. I can assure you that I do my best to cater for guests needs and comforts. With best wishes, Sally.

Pleasant apartment, clean and adequate size for two. Nice shower and layout with a nice private outside area with table and chairs with a nice private view. The proprietor very nice and friendly with helpful suggestions of places to go in Cornwall. A short walk to village which is quite a steep walk.
Guest from Bolton stayed for 7 nights.
Very clean tidy and well-appointed accommodation. Sally, the owner was very pleasant, she provided extra provisions of tea, coffee, milk, Cornish biscuits, flowers, for our arrival, this was much appreciated. The accommodation is on a steep hill, however is very close to the centre of Mevagissey, only a five minute walk. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would only say place the Pippins sign a little closer to the road to make the property easier to locate.
Guest from Jokkmokk stayed for 7 nights.
Pippin's provides about everything one can ask for from a holiday apartment - basically just great in all respects. Location is very central in Mevagissey, just a 3-4 minutes' walk down to shops, restaurants, pubs etc.
Guest from Manchester stayed for 7 nights.
Pippins is a self contained and compact apartment. There is a kitchen/living area which has a breakfast bar, fridge, microwave, cooker and hob , toaster and small sofa, table and television. The bedroom has a double bed and a wardrobe with ample space for your holiday clothes. The bathroom is quite roomy with a walk in shower cubicle, basin and toilet. There is also a washing machine in the cupboard space. It's ideal for a couple on a budget and has everything you could need for a week away. There is a small outdoor space with a Picnic table/bench seats and a washing line. Pippins is very good quality, affordable and ideally situated for anyone wanting to stay in Mevagissey although it is up quite a steep hill but cars can be taken down in to the village with lots of parking opportunities. Sally the owner is friendly and helpful and I'm sure we will return in the future
Guest from Hedon Nr Hull stayed for 7 nights.
The property was nice and clean, It was situated on a steep hill which we found a little hard coming back up from town , we are in our late fifties. But it was a quiet place to stay with area outside to take our meals if sun shone which it did. The owner was friendly and we enjoyed our stay.
Guest from Seaton stayed for 7 nights.
The only problem was negotiating the narrow streets of the village to get to Pippns. Alternative route is longer but much easier via Heligon. Pippins ideal for a couple with every need met. Sally, the owner, very pleasant and helpful. Even the weather was good!

A lovely, cosy place, just a few minutes' walk from the town and with its own parking space. Spacious accommodation for two, ideal for those on a budget.
Guest from Sheffield stayed for 7 nights.
I enjoyed my stay at pippins, The weather was very good. I was apprehensive about using the cooker as the radiating rings were too near the kitchen cabinets. Kitchen utensils were in short supply. Bathroom, bedroom was excellent. Car parking is on a steep slope so it would be difficult for older, or unfit people to get in and out of the car. Pippins is convenient for the harbour shops and restaurants, however there is a steep hill to walk up and down.
Guest from Leire stayed for 7 nights.
The accommodation was convenient, comfortable and very quiet. There was also a parking spot. The owner was very friendly and helpful and the views walking down to the village were lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the apartment.
Guest from Sheffield stayed for 7 nights.
We enjoyed our stay, the only downside is the climb out of Meva, you need to be reasonably fit. Sally was very attentive when we needed her (only for information on what to do & see)
Guest from Abergele stayed for 7 nights.
Compact apartment, just right for two people, Kitchenette/sitting room, Full cooker, microwave and all things needed for two people including Freeview TV and 2 seater couch Comfortable clean bed and double shower room The only problem was the narrow winding hill approach to the apartment but after a few tries we managed quite well. The hill is steep and recommended for fit people as the village is only a few minutes downhill but it took me and 15 minutes to come uphill The owner was friendly and at the end of the phone if we needed anything
