The best holiday let we have stayed in. The hosts are welcoming and very helpful, the grounds are beautiful and the accomadation superb. A great location for accessing many parts of Cornwall and a quiet retreat upon your return.
Guest from Bridge Of Weir stayed for 7 nights.
We spent a week at Rivermead farm, Oak Tree Cottage and found it extremely clean and comfortable. We found a lovely hamper left by owners Marjorie & Kevin. Our 2 dogs were made very welcome and had acres of cut grass to walk on a couple of short golf holes a rope swing and a few other garden games to keep the kids amused. If you are looking for a quiet retreat in Cornwall, we have no hesitation of recommending Oak Tree Cottage at Cornwall
Guest from Varengeville-sur-mer stayed for 7 nights.
The cottage was well-equipped and comfortable. Mr and Mrs Creek could not have been kinder or more helpful and the welcoming hamper was the best I have ever seen. The location is quiet and peaceful and the grounds, especially along the river, well looked-after. The only disappointment was the weather, rain all week, and the low températures which made fishing, the second main aim of our visit, totally unsuccessful. Nevertheless we explored Cornwall and the central position of the cottage meant that both coasts are within easy reach.
Guest from Church Stretton stayed for 3 nights.
Lovely cottage in a very convenient postion . Very nice stretch of river well look after the fishing was differcult but this was due to the cold weather Felt the charge of £30 to fish the lake was expensive
Guest from Southampton stayed for 5 nights.
Our holiday was superb. The owners Kevin and Marjorie were brilliant and made us so welcome. Oak tree cottage was excellent in all aspects. Facilities were excellent along with cleanliness and comfort. The welcome hamper was slovenly big surprise. Nothing was to much trouble and Kevin and Marjorie were so friendly, lovely people. If you want a holiday of peace and tranquillity this is the place to go. Grounds are spacious and beautiful, we would recommend this cottage as super 10/10. Will definitely stay again

This was our first holiday with 2 pooches. We didn't know what a treat lay in store for us. Margorie & Kevin were perfect hosts. Our cottage was beautifully clean and well equipped, set in superb grounds. The welcome hamper was delicious, a really thoughtful touch. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you once again.

Had a fantastic 9 days in this beautiful cottage that was like home from home. Beautiful grounds that we all loved (we have 2 dogs). Couldn't fault the cottage, had everything we needed and was a brilliant location, so easy to get to everything we wanted to do and see. Many thanks to Kevin and Marjorie for their hospitality and helpfulness and also for the great hamper we received on arrival. We will definitely be back.
Guest from Newport stayed for 6 nights.
We were offered a free upgrade and we chose to stay in Salmon cottage. It was a very cosy well decorated clean cottage that made us feel at home straight away. The welcome basket was outstanding to say the least ..full of top quality local produce that we liked so much we bought more to bring home. The surrounding grounds including the river, lake and walk were magnificent and a lovely escape to go walking in. Parking was easy and the place was quiet yet it wasn't that far from the main road which made easy access to all the main towns, villages and ports. All round this was an ideal holiday retreat and we look forward to going back soon.

Stayed at oak tree for a week during September and despite the weather we had an excellent time especially our German Shepherd who settled in with no problems at all. The grounds are a lovely place to walk with plenty of open space for Bella to run around in and the cottage was all we could ask from a self contained unit. The location is perfect to reach the coast and walking in nearby forests. The owners are genuinely nice people and we are looking forward to returning next year.

Guest from Canterbury stayed for 14 nights.
Everything about our stay was brilliant, the attention to detail was wonderful, from the moment we arrived. The cottage was lovely with all the facilities we could possibly need, beautifully decorated cosy and relaxing. The location is idyllic set in wonderful grounds, with loads of room for our rather energetic spaniel to run as well as lovely walks by the stream and around the lake. The hosts were lovely with the right balance of being around if needed but not feeling overlooked.
Guest from Albury stayed for 4 nights.
We found Oaktree to be in the perfect location for us- central to easily reach all parts of Cornwall without difficulty. The farm itself is idyllic- acres of grass and woodland, lake and river, just perfect and tranquil. The owners are genuinely friendly and helpful and the welcome was warm, a basket of goodies consisting of Cornwall delights, milk and wine awaiting us when we arrived too. The cottage is just right for couples, everything you need is there and comfort assured. There were no problems of any sort whilst we were there and we hope to return in the not too distant future.
Guest from Sheffield stayed for 7 nights.
We wanted a "Cottage" holiday and this is exactly what we got...and more. The grounds were excellent and well maintained, the wildlife fascinating and the owner couldn't do any more to help. We already intend to holiday here again next year!
Guest from Lincoln stayed for 7 nights.
The owners and welcome basket were awesome. The location was attractive and peaceful. The accommodation is dated and the bed was very uncomfortable a new matress and pillows are needed urgently.
We take the satisfaction of our guests seriously and are sorry to hear that you felt the property did not fully meet your expectations as we have received extremely positive reviews to date. Since purchasing Rivermead Farm we have almost entirely refurbished all the properties however it is our intention to purchase top of the range Hypnos beds this winter. We do hope you will return to Rivermead Farm in the future.

Guest from Havant stayed for 7 nights.
A brilliant cottage in a beautiful environment. The cottage was spotlessly clean and we received a warm welcome from the owners. The welcome hamper was generous and full of local produce. The cottage is centrally located in Cornwall for many places and we visited both the north and south coast from the cottage. A highlight was seeing a kingfisher on the pond near the cottage. We would certainly recommend this cottage to others
Guest from stayed for 21 nights.
We cannot image a nicer place to stay for a vacation and more welcoming hosts to make it even better. The property is much nicer and grander than shown on the pictures!
Guest from Stondon Massey stayed for 7 nights.
We came to Cornwall to get married and enjoyed a fabulous week at Oak Tree. Location, facilities and cottage fab. Marjorie and Kevin the perfect hosts
Guest from Hove stayed for 7 nights.
Oak Tree is a brilliant base to use if you want to tour around and discover Cornwall as it really is so central to everything. You are just a 10min drive to Bodmin town & all of the main roads to join to explore. It is set in beautiful grounds & you could happily spend a whole day there, lazing by the river watching out for Kingfishers or other beautiful birds. The welcome the we received from the owners was really lovely with a welcome hamper full to the brim with Cornish products & some fresh home made scones. Oak Tree is a lovely little base & is the perfect size for 2 people. I hope that anyone else who stays there, has as much fun as we did!
Guest from Hannover stayed for 14 nights.
We were at Oaktree in July with our baby. It was great. Marjorie and Kevin had everything prepared very lovely including the cod which was nearly more comfy than his bed at home :) We would love to come again as soon as possible and warmly recommend the location.
