Located just a couple of miles from the magnificent sands of Sandymouth Beach on Cornwall's great North coast, Nobbys Cottage is a wonderful place to stay. Decorated in calming, natural colours, the cottage provides the perfect backdrop to your stay in this dramatic part of Cornwall.

The cottage has been fitted to a very high standard, with oak floors, refurbished bathrooms, comfy sofas and cream wash up-cycled furniture, perfect for lounging at the end of an active (or relaxing) day!
Nobbys Cottage sleeps up to six guests with one double room, one twin room and a comfortable occasional sofa bed for another two guests. Downstairs you’ll find a comfy lounge, well equipped kitchen and dining area. There are extensive facilities on the site including a children's playground, a pool room and a superb open fire pit for great fireside chats in the evenings.

Ground Floor: Open plan kitchen, dining area and sitting room, including an occasional sofa bed.
First Floor: Master double bedroom, followed by a twin room. There is a separate family bathroom with shower.
Exterior: Communal garden with external table, chairs & BBQ facilities.
Separate games room, children's play area and fire pit area.
Facilities & Services
Heating is via night storage heating and the wood burning stove. The kitchen has a range of modern equipment. There is an electric oven and hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge / freezer and washing machine. The sitting room area has a flatscreen digital Freeview TV & DVD player, radio & iPod dock. There is an iron & ironing board.
Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, bed linen & towels are all included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. Regrettably no smoking or dogs are allowed. There is a cot & high chair available.
General Booking Information Arrival / Departure is normally a Friday. Short breaks are available during quieter periods.

The closest village to East Thorne is Kilkhampton which dates back to before Saxon times. There you can find the remains of a 12th century motte and bailey style Norman castle. The church of St James the Great is over 450 years old. Both of the two pubs in the village the New Inn and London Inn serve food.
East Thorne is approximately 6 miles to the north of Bude. Bude is Cornwall's most northern town and has been a favourite seaside resort since Victorian times. The coastal scenery surrounding the beaches of is quite beautiful, boasting some of the finest sandy beaches and the best surfing in England! The town has excellent facilities and a wide selection of interesting, independent shops. This idyllic area has a large amount of bird life for the dedicated twitcher and some wonderful, scenic walks along the South West coastal path.
The centre of Bude is a lively hub with concerts, dances and fetes as well as other events throughout the season, including an annual Carnival Week. The town has a host of pubs, cafes and restaurants to suit every palate and there is a new Visitors Centre in the Crescent car park, a large children's play area, a 19th century canal and a small wharf amongst many other attractions. Bude is also home to the internationally acclaimed jazz festival which takes place each August.
Further along the coast is Sandymouth, a large beach ideal for families due to its lovely sand, rock pools and tea rooms. A short drive north over the border into Devon leads to the quaint village of Hartlandwith its very own shipwreck! Also well worth a visit is the world famous fishing village of Clovelly. The cobbled, traffic-free, high street is built into a cleft in a 400' high cliff and tumbles its way down past whitewashed cottages festooned with flowers to the tiny working port.
