Situated in peaceful countryside, yet conveniently positioned for visiting this dramatic area of west Cornwall, Meadowside Cottage is a comfortable holiday cottage with the advantage of a private south facing garden and access to 3 acres of private land. Located along a short stretch of unmade road, adjoining the Owners property, this cottage is a delightful escape. The beautiful sandy beach at Praa Sands with its occasional good surf is only a few minutes drive away and the dramatic sight of St Michael's Mount is also within 3 miles. The golden sands at Gwithian on the north coast are also within 20 minutes of the cottage.
The cottage is a reverse level property with the sitting room & dining area on the first floor and the kitchen, bedrooms & bathroom on the ground floor.
The private terraced south facing garden is a delightful place to relax after exploring the nearby coast.
Those with toddlers, please be aware that there are some steep stairs at the cottage.

Heating is via modern thermostatic electric heaters throughout. The kitchen has an electric oven & hob, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, fridge / freezer & washer / drier machine.The lounge has a TV with DVD & CD player.
WiFi can be made available at the property.
There is an iron and ironing board available.
Miscellaneous
Electricity, heating, bed linen & towels are all included, but you will need to bring your own beach towels. There is ample off-road parking for 2 cars.
Please do be aware that there is an unmade road, although it does not present problems for normal cars.
We regret no dogs are allowed. Regrettable no smoking is allowed. A highchair and travel cot can be made available upon request.
General Booking Information Arrival / Departure is a Saturday. Shortbreaks are available during quieter periods. £100 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.
Praa Sands in the South West of Cornwall is located between Helston and Penzance. The town contains many facilities including a shop, pub, post office and Praa Sands Gold Club. The nearest large supermarket is Morrisons towards Penzance. The extensive beach stretching from Rinsey Head to Hoe Point is extremely popular with the whole family, Prussia Cove, Perranuthnoe & Marazion are the nearest beaches, all within a few minutes drive. When the North Coast is 'blown out' you will find the surfers flock to Praa Sands for its powerful waves coming straight in from the Atlantic Ocean. Just inland from the beach is Pengersick Castle which dates back to the Bronze Age.
Nearby Helston is famous for its Floral Dance in May, a day when the whole town stops and dresses up for the days many dances through the streets. From Penzance you can take the Scillonian for a day trip to the picturesque Isles of Scilly, well worth a visit if you have never been. 10 minutes down the road lies Marazion famous for St Michaels Mount, home to a medieval castle and a working local community. St Michaels Mount is accessible by causeway at low tides, or by boat. The castle is leased from the National Trust by the St Aubyn family who reside at the property maintaining and working the grounds.
I would very much like the owners to know their cottage is a little gem. Very clean, comfortable and situated in a great location for both coastlines. The welcome we recieved was very warm. I did mention to the owner that the bed was too comfy & i had trouble getting up in the morning!!! The goodies in the kitchen were an added bonus and very tasty. I was not dissapointed in the slightest with any aspect of the cottage. In general the owners are a credit to your web site and i would not hesitate to return to Meadowside Cottage again or reccomend to others. Marks out of 10 i give a big fat 20! They deserve every bit of praise they get.

The accommodation itself was clean, spacious and had a really chilled out vibe about the place. The cottage is located just 10 mins drive from Perranuthnoe which is a bit of an undercover Gem on that bit of coast. The bed was super comfortable (often overlooked) and the wifi (free) was rather useful for Spotify and surf checks. Strawberries and cream were there on arrival as were THE best eggs ever from the resident chickens. We plan to return in Autumn when the autumnal swells will be rolling in!

Arrived back safely after a lovely time in Cornwall. The service and hospitality upon arriving at Meadowside Cottage was excellent. A warm and friendly greeting awainted us along with some goodies to warm us in! The cottage was very clean, warm and homely. Thanks again to Cliff and Sue for giving us such a lovely holiday, would certainly recommend it to anyone!
