Crackington Haven is located between Boscastle & Bude and is on one of the most dramatic stretches of coastline in north Cornwall. The village itself is located in very narrow valley with steep sides leading onto a beach where beautiful sand is exposed at low tide. The beach is popular with surfers and the surrounding coastline is a huge draw for walkers. The cliffs are not only dramatic, but are also have fascinating geology. Immediately north of the beach is Pencarrow Point and a few hundred yards south is Cambeak headland. One mile south of Crackington Haven, High Cliff rises to 735 feet (224 m) with a sheer drop to the rocky foreshore. The village has a couple of tea rooms and a pub.
The surrounding area has beautiful countryside and nearby Bude has a full range of shops, pubs & restaurants. There are a whole range of beaches within a few miles drive along the coast as well. The landscape rises dramatically to the south onto the moors with more superb walking to be had. It really is a lovely place to visit and explore!
