This stunning development of twenty-eight stylish and contemporary holiday villas is set within the St Merryn Holiday Village on the outskirts of St Merryn, just three miles from the popular Medieval estuary town of Padstow and close to seven spectacular bays. St Merryn is about a mile from the holiday villas where the amenities include a shop, several restaurants and pubs - including The Cornish Arms where Rick and Jill Stein are the new landlords!
This fantastic development is ideally located for those wishing to visit Padstow - noted for its busy fishing harbour and Rick Stein's famous restaurants. Across the estuary there is Rock, the magnificent sands of Daymar and a little further, Polzeath.
This is spectacular walking country with some dramatic cliffs and coastline to explore. Brand new from autumn 2008, these self catering villas provide modern living with a high standard of comfort throughout.
Each property has two bedrooms on the first floor and on the ground floor there is a kitchen and lounge/diner leading onto a private timber decked terrace and small lawned garden.

One double bedroom with a great first floor balcony and pull-out single bed.

Private garden with a timber decked terrace leading onto a small lawned area.
External furniture is provided.
There is also a separate landscaped amenity area.
Facilities & Services
Heating is via electric night storage heaters & electric panel heaters.
The kitchen is fully equipped with integral appliances including electric oven & hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine & dryer, fridge and separate freezer.
The lounge / diner has a large widescreen TV with a wide range of satellite channels including plus a DVD player.
There is also a flatscreen TV in the main bedroom.
Miscellaneous
Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels & tea towels are all included, but you will need to bring your own beach towels.
There is a reserved parking space directly outside the villa.
Further parking & cycle parking is available in the nearby amenity area. Dogs are permitted in this property at a small additional cost of £35 per dog / per week or £5 per dog / per night if on a short break. Regrettably, no smoking is allowed.

Padstow is one of Cornwall's prettiest harbour towns and in recent years has become increasingly famous due to Celebrity Chef Rick Stein and his Seafood empire. This has boosted the town commercially and certainly put Padstow on the map for those looking for a gourmet Cornish experience. Rock, just across the River Camel, has a become a popular location because of it's great water sports and often the rich & famous (and occasionally even young royalty) can be seen drifting around! The port holds many pleasure craft, providing trips around the bay and up the river, as well as fishing boats supplying the mass of fish restaurants in the town.
Tourists first arrived in Padstow in 1899 with the arrival of the Railway, now the tramway is home to the Camel Trail. This fantastic 18 mile trail follows the route of the old railway along traffic free paths, providing a fairly flat cycle through from Padstow out as far as Bodmin, Wadebridge and even as far as Blisland on Bodmin Moor. It is eminently suitable for families and is a simply superb day out cruising along the estuary and countryside.
The Obby Oss celebrations on the first of May see the village elaborately decorated with the May Pole being the focus. Two stylised 'horses', the Old Oss and the Blue Oss dance through the streets trying to chase maidens, whilst children dress up in 'junior oss' costumes. The dancing continues until midnight when the Osses return to their separate stables. Travelling West along the coast you pass Trevose Head where sits a very pretty Lighthouse round to Constantine Bay and Bethruthan steps. On the Rock side of the River Camel you also have Daymer Bay
& Polzeath, a haven for North Coast Surfers and more recently where David Cameron spent his summer holidays.
We have enjoyed the villas very much. It was very new, tidied and cleaned. Both my husband and I will definitely stay in the villas again next time when we plan for another holiday to Cornwall.

Once again, we have had another fantastic holiday with Cornwalls Cottages -thanks very much. The accommodation was good, spacious, warm and a brilliant location for both us and the dogs who enjoyed the holiday very much as well. The holiday village was ideal for us and dogs with plenty of exercise area to cater for dogs which is one of the reasons we chose this location.
We have never been onto the northern Cornwall coast before but with the beautiful sandy beaches we hope to go back at some stage - the beaches there were great with plenty of sand and not too many folks at this time of the year - ideal for a quiet break.
