The location of Bos Eglos (Cornish for 'Home by the Church') takes a lot of beating. Situated on a working farm, it is part of a beautiful pastoral landscape; criss-crossed with walks and creeks which you are free to explore. Bos Eglos is located within the grounds of historic Court Farm owned by a local family for generations. The farm is in the centre of the idyllic, rural village of Philleigh in the heart of the Roseland Peninsula. The Roseland Inn, a 16th Century country pub providing good, locally sourced food and real ale is within footsteps. The Roseland villages of St Mawes, Portscatho and Veryan are all close by and sandy beaches are a ten minute drive away.
Accommodation Upper level: Open plan kitchen, dining area and sitting room. Patio doors leading to exterior.
Lower level: A double bedroom and 2 twin rooms both with en-suite showers, sinks & WC's.
There is a separate family bathroom.
Exterior: Patio doors open out onto a secluded outdoor seating area, surrounded by a lawn garden.
Facilities & Services
Heating is via oil fired central heating, with underfloor heating in all the bathrooms. The kitchen has a range of equipment including an Aga - style cooker. There is a microwave,fridge / freezer, dishwasher & washing machine. There is a separate utility area with a washing machine & tumble drier. The sitting room area has a TV / DVD player & music centre.
Miscellaneous Electricity, heating & bed linen are all included but you will need to provide your own towels. There is 1 dedicated car parking space and further parking is available if required. We regret that dogs are not permitted. Regrettably no smoking is allowed. Cot & high chair are available.
General Booking Information Arrival / Departure is normally a Friday. Shortbreaks are available during quieter periods.

The tiny tranquil Cornish village of Philleigh is in superb countryside in the heart of the rural Roseland Peninsula, Cornwall. Famous for its sixteenth cetury pub, The Roseland Inn, Philleigh is ideally located for exploring the countryside of the Roseland Peninsula whilst only a ten minute drive from the superb beaches around Portscatho. The D-Day embarkation points at Turnaware Point and Smugglers Cottage are only a short drive from Philleigh. Smugglers Cottage is also a great place for a waterside Cornish cream tea!
Local shops are available in Portscatho (3.8 miles), Veryan (3.7 miles) or St Mawes (5.7 miles). Pubs are available in Philleigh, Portscatho, St Mawes, Veryan or Ruan Lanihorne (3.6 miles).
The Roseland Inn now has a small farm shop which sells basics plus some fine local produce.
The pub also has its own brewery.
We were delighted with the cottage and the friendly reception from the owner.
We were given the freedom to walk around Court Farm right the way down through the woods to the creek which we thoroughly enjoyed and the easy walk to the pub for food and drinks was another bonus. The cottage was spotlessly clean, comfortable and very much home from home.
We will definitely book again.

We had a wonderful holiday in Cornwall. Booking through your website was so easy. Bos Eglos turned out to be the perfect choice, it was very homely and in such a fantastic setting. The owners were incredibly helpful and friendly and it was lovely to receive flowers and fresh eggs on arrival. The high chair that was available for our 8 month old son had been the owners when he was a child and it was fantastic as it doubled up as a chair and activity station, our son Sam loved it. The highlights for us had to be the range cooker (we enjoyed cooking on it so much that we did not even make it out to the local pub for dinner) and the under floor heating, bliss! We felt that a week was just not quite long enough to see all that Cornwall has to offer so I am sure we will return in the future. We would definitely use your website again and will be recommending it to friends.
