An Gylen is one of three self catering cottages in the grounds of Ardevora Mill.
This single-storey barn has been carefully converted, with high vaulted ceilings, original beams and very comfortable furnishings.
An Gylen is a superb hideaway and is ideal for couples or families as there is a twin bed room and a large double sofa bed in the lounge.
An Gylen has an inter connection door into, Crowjy Ardevora, which can be combined to provide accommodation for up to 9 people.
For larger parties Ardevora Vean (next door) can sleep a further 2 persons.
You will be warmly welcomed to Ardevora Mill by the Owners, Teri & Andrew, who really go out of their way to make you feel totally at home in this very special place.
Ardevora is the best of both worlds - a stunning rural location (down a long farm track!) but near enough to all the attractions Cornwall has to offer.
The nearest beaches at Pendower and Porthcurnick are only a 10 minute drive away, the villages of St Mawes and Portscatho are within easy reach and the beautiful City of Truro is only 1/2 hour away.
Accommodation
All accommodation is on the ground floor.
Enter the cottage into the spacious hallway which has doors leading off to all rooms.
The open plan lounge, dining and kitchen has superb garden and countryside views.
In the lounge there is a large comfortable double sofa bed, the kitchen is well equipped kitchen & the dining area has access to the patio & gaden.
The bedroom has twin beds, again with views over the garden.
The 'wet style' shower room also has a WC and wash hand basin and non slip tiled floor.
To the rear of the cottage is a large patio and grassed garden, which is shared with the adjoining cottage. There is plenty of garden furniture and BBQs are also available.
Alongside the cottage is a shared laundry room, with washing machine, tumble dryer and sink.
Facilities & Services
Heating is via oil fire under floor heating & electricity.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, electric oven & ceramic hob.
The lounge area has a TV with Freeview & DVD player. WiFi is available at the property.
Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, bed linen & towels are all included, but you will need to provide your own beach towels.
There is ample parking available for a number of cars on the private driveway.
Although the Owners do have their own dog, we regret that guest's dogs are not permitted. Regrettably no smoking is allowed.
For younger guests a cot & high chair is available on request.
For those of you that are feeling a little more energetic the Owners have kayaks available so you can explore the river at your leisure.
General Booking Information Arrival / Departure is normally a Friday. Shortbreaks are available during quieter periods.

The tiny tranquil Cornish village of Philleigh is in superb countryside in the heart of the rural Roseland Peninsula, Cornwall. Famous for its sixteenth cetury pub, The Roseland Inn, Philleigh is ideally located for exploring the countryside of the Roseland Peninsula whilst only a ten minute drive from the superb beaches around Portscatho. The D-Day embarkation points at Turnaware Point and Smugglers Cottage are only a short drive from Philleigh. Smugglers Cottage is also a great place for a waterside Cornish cream tea!
The nearest pubs are the Roseland Inn at Philleigh or the Kings Head at Ruan Lanihorne, both or which serve excellent food. There are shops, restaurants and local facilites in Portscatho & St Mawes.
